Also known as Regza Tablet in Japan, The Toshiba Thrive tab is expected to be released by the end of June and the company began taking pre-orders this Monday. This tab runs the latest version for Android - Android 3.1 Honeycomb, it has a Tefra 2 dual core processor, and is capable to playback Full HD 1080p video content. This Wi-Fi-only tab has a 10.1-inch 1280×800 capacitive touchscreen, HDMI output, Bluetooth and WiFi, a 5 Megapixel main camera, a 2 Megapixel front camera for video chat, and micro SD card slot for memory expansion.
The Toshiba Thrive carries a removable battery, full-sized SD and USB ports. Toshiba also modified the Android os in this handset its tablet uses to learn effectively for users to transfer files from external drives onto the tablet's hard drive, and back.
