How to Transfer Purchased iTunes DRM Songs to Another Computer

As we all know that the songs purchased from iTunes are protected by DRM in an M4P format, which prevent you copying them to other non-Apple portable devices such as MP3 players, smartphones, tablets, and also other computers, they can be played on your one authorized computer. And if there’s a possible that your authorized computer crashed or you just want to copy the m4p songs on another new computer, then how do you make it?

And here are several ways to copy your purchased DRM iTunes songs to other computers:

Method 1:  By manually copying your iTunes music files to an external hard drive and then manually copy them to your another computer.

Plug in your external hard drive to your computer. Open Windows Explorer and go to your iTunes music folder. On Vista it’s C:\Users\your.username\Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music. On Windows XP it’s under Documents and Settings.
Copy the iTunes Music folder to your external hard drive, and then plug the hard drive into the other computer.

Make sure iTunes is installed on the other computer, and just copy the contents of the iTunes Music folder from your external hard drive to the new computer (in the same location as the old computer). iTunes will recognize the files the next time you run it, and you’ll be good to go.
Please kindly note that to copy your music to the external Hard drive, which must have enough space.

Method 2: Use an iPod to move your music to another computer

You can use the Transfer Purchases from iPod option under the File menu to copy iTunes Store purchases from iPod to another computer. You cannot, however, transfer songs from other sources from the iPod library to iTunes. You’ll need to follow the steps to use iPod as a hard disk to transfer music files from one computer to another. This process will require the use of iTunes 7 or later on all computers. After you have the files transferred, you’ll need to authorize any iTunes Store content. If you won’t be using your old computer, you can deauthorize it
